Silicone Antifoam DCA-401

Introduction

DCA-401 is an organosilicone defoamer suitable for solvent-based systems. It has moderate defoaming effects and high usage safety while minimally affecting the transparency of the system.

Physicochemical Data

  • Chemical composition: Defoaming organosilicone compound solution

  • Appearance: Colorless transparent liquid

  • Active content: less than 3%

  • Solvent: Xylene

Product features

  • High usage safety, less likely to cause film defects such as shrinkage cavities

  • Good compatibility, less likely to cause system turbidity, and does not affect gloss.

  • Helps eliminate defects such as fisheyes, pinholes, craters, and microbubbles

Application areas

Suitable for various solvent-based coating systems, including but not limited to the following application areas:

  • Wood coatings for various resin systems

  • General industrial coatings based on long oil alkyd, PU, amino baking paint, thermoplastic acrylic, epoxy, and vinyl resins (specific application systems can refer to the recommended application systems and instructions).

Addition Method

It can be added at any stage of production,

and adding it during the dispersion stage helps with pigment wetting. Recommended dosage: 0.1-1.0% of the total formulation, generally 0.3% of the total formulation in most cases.

Packaging and storage:

25KG iron drum, stored in a cool and dry place.
